Part of the mission of Peace Community Preschool is to reach out to the parents of our students to nurture them in their Christian faith and support them in their Christian parenting. The cooperative design of the preschool helps us to accomplish this as well as enabling us to keep tuition affordable. Under the co-op design, parents of students are required to assist in their child’s classroom on a rotating basis approximately once every 4-8 weeks.Parent assistants in the classroom help to supervise and assist the children, provide a nutritional snack, and help clean-up the classroom at the end of the class.One parent from each family is also required to attend a two-hour classroom clean once during the year.Parents are always welcome to be as involved in their child’s preschool as they wish to be by attending field trips and acting as class coordinators or providing assistance for special events and programs throughout the year.
Parents also have the opportunity to assist in the administration and policy of the preschool by serving on the Board of Directors.
